Separation of the private banking and asset management businesses of the former Julius Baer Holding Ltd.

As initially announced, the former Julius Baer Holding Ltd. completed the separation of its private banking and asset management businesses by the end of September 2009. After approval by the authorities, trading in the shares of the new Julius Baer Group Ltd. commenced on the SIX Swiss Exchange on 1 October 2009.

Julius Baer Group Ltd. and GAM Holding Ltd. held a joint strategy presentation in London on Friday, 25 September 2009, detailing their business developments as distinct, independently-listed groups.
